That was a good time.Here’s the flyer I was lucky enough to do for the Sidekicks, Spraynard, and Delay SLC show.  All three of these bands released an album I’ve described as “My new fave album for realsies,” so I’m fucking stoked that they’re coming through together.As far as the art itself goes: The Griffin is my favorite mythological creature, and Abraham Lincoln is by far my favorite president, and probably favorite person, aesthetically.  His whole outfit, lanky stature, and weird ass angular features are all awesome to draw.  If I ever get back in the habit of uploading drawings on here I’ll put up the series of sketches I did of Abraham Lincoln as various animals.  also stoked on Scooby Doo color palette.

Robin Banks is my best friend! design-flaw: Save The Swim Team noir on Flickr. Here’s a flyer for the Save The Swim Team show this January! I’ll be screenprinting this in the next couple days. This is my first attempt at whatever this kind of design is. That stuff they do on cool philosophy books and some old noir movies. I’ve always been a big fan of it but I usually hand write everything. I think it came out great though and I hope you agree! xoxox

Hey Pals!

so I know I haven’t been updating at all, but don’t worry, it’s almost completely not due to a lack of working.  I’ve been steadily toiling away at what will hopefully be the first issue of a comic zine.  my goal was to get it all done before I go to Asian Man Records Fest, but that doesn’t seem too realistic at this point.  so I’m more going for a late June-Mid July sorta thing.  we’ll see.

the good news is, that since my self-imposed deadline has been pushed back, I can put more focus on other, smaller projects, so you faithful tumbly-doos need not worry, I’ll soon be updating again.  I’ve still got some comics that I’ve finished but have just forgotten about, and I’m trying to start doing the whole “journal comic” thing again, so that could surface shortly.  yeah. 

until then, keep on tumblin’, or whatever!

Spoonboy Flyer! I’m quite stoked on how this turned out.  I came up with the general design a bit ago, and it came out looking basically just how I imagined it.  Though admittedly with a slightly more poppy color scheme. I’m still learning how to use photoshop, but I like to think that I’m getting better, or, at least, more competent. But yeah, Spoonboy’s one of my favorites, with I Love You, This Is A Robbery holding a particularly special place in my heart.  So being able to both play with him, and draw the flyer has been back-to-back badass.  hopefully all of you will be able to find your way down to the show, so we can party like nobody’s business!
